2026 Preliminary Program

 

The summit program is constructed around a panel format that facilitates open discussion from a variety of perspectives and, for even greater depth, Q&A involving audience members.
Each panel is comprised of three to four sponsored individuals, plus an FSU moderator. The moderator works closely with each panelist to develop specific discussion topics and field audience questions. Our preliminary program is provided below.

Hear from FSU’s VP for Research Stacey Patterson and the newly appointed VP and Chief Clinical Operations Officer Jeremy Slaga as they discuss FSU’s role and plans for healthcare on a local, state, and national level.

PANEL 2: Public Policy Impacts on Healthcare Business Models
Moderator: Deanna Barath, Assistant Professor, College of Social Sciences and Public Policy, FSU

Panelists will examine public policy and regulation initiatives impacting the health sector in Florida and beyond. This includes the impacts of restructured public funding on Medicare and Medicaid.

3:15 – 4:45 pm

PANEL 3:  Data Interoperability, Infrastructure & Privacy
Moderator: Jonathan Fozard, Chief Information Officer, FSU

Managing patient data, sharing it across systems, ensuring privacy and security and building scalable tech infrastructure are major challenges and priorities for healthcare providers and patients.  This panel will explore these issues, including the role of AI.
